The "DUALERS"
Well we were not dissapointed and the other1600 people were not unhappy either. "Bunny" a Jamaican solo artist opened up the gig one track in particular was a Cliff Richard song "Miss you Nights" Jamaican style very good. The Dualers were on stage for some time and we did not get home untill 0100 hrs, I switched on the Radio and CAPITAL GOLD they were running a compotion to win 2 tickets to see the "HOLLIES" at the Cafe Royal and before we knew it Mrs B1 was on the air and had secured 2 tickets for the gig next week, looks like another cheep day return. "The Glums"
Every 18 months or so we travel up to Sin City and take in a West end show and on Wednesday we are going to see The Glums (Les Miserables)
I have lost count of how many times we have seen it over the past 20 years but we find it compelling.
We are going to take the Iron Horse to Waterloo and a walk via the shops and some retail therapy, never know might come across a dive shop.
Maybe bump into Mr D?

Aussies from the past
The last time I saw Pete and Kay was over 27 yrs ago when they visited us in the UK. Pete is a Chef and we worked for the same Mining Co,in the North west of Western Australia at a place called Mount Newman it was a Iron ore town. I was employed by Transfield Mining PTY as an Installation Electrical Engineer Installing the Conveyor Belt System which transported the Iron Ore once it was blasted from the Mountain to the conveyors and then to the Huge Crushers and then onto the mile long trains which then took it to Port Headland and then on to Japan to be smelted down. Pete was employed by Bechtals? the Catering Co who victualed all the employees. His mate Ray (Darby)is an Electrician or Plumber? time has addled my memory, we all got on extreamly well. Pete is now a Chef at a school in Ballerat and Kay is the Head Misstress of the same school near Victoria. I have still to contact Ray and Narelle his wife, so I think the slides are starting to come to gether. Where are the others? Buddy.

slidesofaustralia
Well the fishing match was not quite what I predicted, the weather was attrocious wind, rain and "Brass Monkeys" but the luck of the Liffy people was on my side, I made a good draw from the peg (swim zone) bag, and out came No5, and on the top lake, when I arrived I was opposite a small Island and the fish were feeding around it. After 5 hrs and 18 carp later weighing between 12oz and 4lbs I weighed in 20 Lbs 2oz and 2nd over all and some folding money, the winner had 27 Lbs. I had lost 4 fish during the match which cost me the top spot. Good luck with the Ginger minger Mr`D. And I can sell you a copy of Puckoon if you like, It`s not your copy as its inscribed to me from you and Mrs D Circa 1980, the last time I saw you reading Puckoon we were in Ireland, It could still be in "Cavan"? Buddy.

Looking for the slides of Australia
Looking for my slides of Australia is a pain in the BUT-TOKS I am sure MrD has borrowed them? Not often I work on a Saturday but I have got some new Furniture that dose not date back to the Crimean War due at any time, it will brighten up my office a "RITAS Treet" and will give the January blues at work a kick in the bottle and glass. Buddy.

Burmese Cats
Today is not a good day in the world of Burmese Cats, 12 years ago an elderly friend of ours was widowed suddenly. He was lost without his wife so we offered him a mature Burmese Blue female. He adored Rio and they were soul mates until today when he had to have her put to sleep.
Kidney failure and old age took its toll on Rio, who was about 21 yrs old which is exceptionally good age for a Burmese Cat. I do hope that time is good for Old Jim. Buddy.
