Slides of Australia update.
Well what a surprise right out of the blue I received an e-mail from Australia from one of my chums linking up another chum who neither of us has heard of for 36 years. So my Idea of locating friends using the blog system is working as the link came via "Slides of Australia"(THANKS B2).
Now then the weekend just gone was good and in particular the dives that B2 and I had. The first dive was fraught with Boat Polatics and over crowding which placed my buddy and I the last to go over the side knowing our planned 50 minute dive was now down to 30, When I raised this with he boat master stating that the others had a lead of 20 mins he failed to except all the circumstances involved and on saying to him that the first up would then wait for us and the so on down the line so we got our 50 mins he was flumoxed and used the exscuse that he had other dive to attend to after this one which I replied yes and it will be with us! confused look on face told it all. The 2nd dive was superb and one of the best we had ever had on this wreck, teeming with Bib Pout,Wrasse and Pollock I located a few lobsters they are superb at back scuttaling into crevaces and feeding baby wrasse with crushed slipper limpets was entertaining only to find B2 giving me the sign that it was time to go up after 64 minutes, bottom temperature was 15c and with 70 bar left we ascended to find we were the last to come up, vengence was ours. kkma.

"Near to Bubbling point"
Well only 24 hours now to go before we take our first dive of the year, the water has warmed up a "Rit's treat". First dive at 1110 will be a drift dive when we test our Kit and Navigation skills. Second dive is down to a sunken Mullberry Block at about 12mts deep and about 60mts long and stuffed with fish, should get a good hour on it. Mrs B1 and Mrs B2 are going for some retail therapy Yuk!
We meanwhile will explore the dark deep Oceans of West Sussex. I know what I'me looking for. Whilst watching Big Brother I noticed the antixcs of Pete the lad with Tirrets? and wondered how it would effect him if he was a diver, probably not at all? he appears to be as sound as a pound other than his jerky actions and swearing, a good lad he gets my vote and I hope he wins. Sounds like me when Iv'e had too much Falling down juice. HAVE A GOOD ONE. kkma.

SUN IS SHINING.
It's a good a title as anything to start off with and it is glorious out there, and I have just had my first dose of "Tanning" of the year not too much 15 minutes either side. I have a sneeky feeling that it will be a stary night tonight and some wine enduced star gazing is on the cards, that reminds me we are 1 each in our Crib game.
The Museum has over the years gathered a lot of picture frames and due to new methods of Conservation and storage I have had to get rid of a lot of "Hogarth" frames over 150 all shapes and sizes, storing them for a rainy day has created a problem so the decision was made to burn them and recycle the glass.
About time I updated the slides of Australia saga, see what happens after the weekend and the Eagles Concert, have a good one everybody and dont forget a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work. kkma.

Dib-dib-dob.
Putting up the Marquee on the fronmt lawn for the Summer programme always reminds me of my Cub and Scouting days back in the 50's we had a skip who was able to get use of an Army lorry and we would go off to the west country for 3 weeks and in them days it was to us kids like going over seas. Digging the cess-pits were fun, one dry for rubbish and one wet for dumping in whilst sitting on a log pole which was ballenced across the pit and yes several did fall in or were they pushed? Washing was a make shift shower behind a canvas dodger and was always a the highlite of the day as some wag would always rig up a trip string and yank the dodger away to hoots of laughter from the pack as the heads and showers were near the Victuals area.

Part time Plumber 6th attempt.
Well after the 5th attempt at my Plumbing problem I took the said offending object back to the supplier who assured me it was okay and just to please me gave me a new fitting and the first thing I noticed was that the locking nut was different at which the numb-nuts with the big ..ollocks SAID oh yes I did not notice that before Turns out that it was the wrong type all along, I could have enlarged his GONADS for him but not being a practicing Christian I decided to let him off and uttered a few expletives under my breath and wish him a fond farewell along with wishing him a huge Blue Witch magic spell (sorry BW taking your name in vane)which may have required a suppositry to aid his relief. kkma.

Water lovely day
Wish I was a plumber and not an Electrician, removing a Radiator and capping it off has proved to be a ..UCKING nightmare the Isolator split then the pump coupler split and water ran every where and flooded down stairs waisting the Inhibitor I had just replaced, I have lost count of how many times I have drained down. Up and down the attic is building My Hams up nice. I have just drained down again as the new coupler is letting water pass through it via the threads and flooded down stairs again, so time consuming, so I thought I would cool down and type this very calming message then go find some Victuals and await the arrival of the Salvation Army who are collecting all our Old furniture for distribution to worthy causes. I feel better all ready.kkma.

Glorious 1st of June
Now I know that its the 12th of August for bagging them pesky Pheasants but it just sounds good "The Glorious 1st of June", well I like it, only 6 weeks to go before we get some bubble time in the Med, but before then a couple of dips in the Briney should start us off. We went to see Ken Dodd at a local theatre he came on stage at 1900hrs and waffled his way for 3 hours and just when I thought he was finished for the night he went off for a smoko then some old bow-wow gave us all she had which was dire, I had booked half time giggly tonics for us and I wish that I had not as we could have shot through, we were sipping away when the Manager informed us that the 2nd half was just about to start, I asked him what time would the 2nd half finish and he replied at 0130 hrs " shave off" I exclaimed, we finished our drinks and went home, looking at each other as if to say did we realy sit through 3hrs of "CRAP" still waters run deep. kkma.
